Meaghan Carey has focused her practice in the area of family law since she was admitted to the bar in 2009. She has experience litigating all aspects of family and matrimonial law, including equitable distribution, child support and maintenance, and custody. Meaghan is equally experienced settling matters outside the courtroom.
Meaghan has been recognized as a Super Lawyer Rising Star and has lectured on a variety of topics including child support for the New York State Bar Association.
Meaghan is a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Women’s Bar Association (NYWBA) and serves as a chair of the Women’s Health and Reproductive Rights Committee and a member of the judicial screening panel. In addition, she is member of the New York Bar Association Family Law Section and the New York Women’s Bar Association Matrimonial and Family Law Committee.
Meaghan was a long-time member of the Board of Directors for the National Organization for Women New York City Chapter (NOW-NYC) and has represented NOW-NYC on a pro bono basis.
When she isn’t working, Meaghan can be found in Central Park with her dog, Bobby.
